I’m partial to April weddings as it’s also the month that I chose for my own. The trees are getting their leaves back and the flowers are starting to bloom. Winter is fading into the background and the season of new beginnings is under way. There might be no place better to feel the best of early spring than the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens and the Palm House. The cherry esplanade is exceptionally gorgeous and we caught it at peak for Will Hunt & Justin’s wedding. While April showers moved the ceremony indoors, we still had a break in the rain to catch some blooms for portrait time. Soraya Jollon of Soraya Weddings brought together a fabulous team for this event. Putnam & Putnam floral designers were at the top of the list, but fabulous didn’t stop there. Music and a great party were also important to the grooms, and so, Meadow Lark Quartet provided the beautiful ceremony music, while Kinky Spigot & the Welders blew it out of the park for the reception. L&M Sound and Light created a wonderful party environment and shot off a confetti cannon during one of the groom’s favorite songs. King David Tacos supplied the late night treat before guests headed out to the after party. Beside the month of April we also shared an officiant, Bettina Yiannakouru, loved her then, love her now. If you were lucky enough to be a guest, this event will be on your list of all time favorite weddings. Thanks guys, for an amazing day to photograph and another big thanks and shout out to my second shooter, David Willems.
