Gil and I went on our honeymoon this November, seven months after the wedding. We spent most of the time in Buenos Aires and four days in Uruguay. The highlight of the trip was most certainly Garzon. The name belongs to the town in Uruguay as well as the hotel and restaurant owned and run by Francis Mallmann. Some have called him the best chef in South America and I have no reason to disagree. We spent two wonderful days eating the most delicious food, relaxing and exploring the town. Luciano & Lucia took care of all our needs and made us feel special and welcomed. It was the part of the trip where I felt inspired to shoot more than travel snapshots.

Welcome to Garzon, the Town, the Hotel and the Restaurant

I thought it would be nice to start this blog with some notes about my wedding. Gil & I got married on April 11th of this year at City Hall Restaurant in Tribeca. I admit I’m not speedy in getting this post up but…well better late than never…

We had about 70 guests and I loved that many of my favorite wedding vendors contributed and were able to party with us as well.

The flowers were done by Melanie Arden of Melarosa.  The Invitation Suite was by Sloane Madureira and Press New York.  Dessert Bar, Wedding Cake and Favors were by One Girl Cookies.  Raychel Wade of Cheek to Chic made me more beautiful than I normally am. Linda Petrucci was in charge of video and Marie Labbancz’s Art of Love handled the daunting task of photographing the photographer with some help from Joanna Wilson.

I don’t know Romona Keveza, but I loved her dress. It’s the only one I tried on and it was perfect for me. I got to show off my legs and the skinny waistline that I had for the week of my wedding. The ladies at Bridal Reflections took very good care of me..in fact my first fitting was my only fitting!

The list of vendors ends with DJ Alberto of Expressway Music. Gil & I are very picky about our music and wanted some unusual selections played. Alberto was fantastic.
