In May of 2007  Gil & I took a road trip from Los Angeles to San Francisco. He proposed to me on the beach at Half Moon Bay. This May we decided to drive from Portland, OR to San Francisco and see the northern coastal highway. I didn’t shoot everything along the way. Most of the trip I just enjoyed the view and the company, but in a few spots, mostly Portland, I couldn’t resist shooting as if I was on assignment. Highlights include Clyde Common, Pine State Biscuits, Apizza Scholls, all Portland food spots, and along the road, The Bandon Beach Motel, with the most “awesomest” view on the Oregon Coast, Redwoods, Eureka, Ca. and Mendocino. Next time we think we’ll start in Portland and head north, more views and more great food to come.

One Girl Cookies hosted an event on Tuesday night called Bubbles and Butter cream, which presented “One Girl Cakes by Francina”. These cakes are both delicious and beautiful and make a wonderful addition to all your joyful occasions. All the cakes are three layers and can be made in one, two or three tiers. The flavors we sampled with a little champagne were:

The store was decorated with some Kathi Littwin photos, flowers by Blossom and Branch and Calligraphy by Love*Jenna and a sweet evening was had by all.

The night before the wedding Marcy & Aaron held the rehearsal dinner at home. It was intimate and sophisticated. The food was prepared by their favorite chef, Joey Campanaro of The Little Owl. Starting the photo coverage the night before is always a nice touch. I enjoy meeting the inner circle, and the night always has fun moments that you’ll be glad were captured.

Gil and I went on our honeymoon this November, seven months after the wedding. We spent most of the time in Buenos Aires and four days in Uruguay. The highlight of the trip was most certainly Garzon. The name belongs to the town in Uruguay as well as the hotel and restaurant owned and run by Francis Mallmann. Some have called him the best chef in South America and I have no reason to disagree. We spent two wonderful days eating the most delicious food, relaxing and exploring the town. Luciano & Lucia took care of all our needs and made us feel special and welcomed. It was the part of the trip where I felt inspired to shoot more than travel snapshots.

I recently had the pleasure to both shoot and taste a new product. Lisa Bedell is the woman behind Brooklyn Nuts. A tasty spicy treat that makes a great stocking stuffer or wedding favor. My shots are the ones I’m showing here.

Here at Kathi Littwin Photography, we don’t just shoot weddings.  I was pleased to be asked by Sara Snacker Cookie Company to work with her on her new  web site and promotional materials. Sara’s flavors are based on nostalgia and a creative mix of ingredients. There are three cookies that mix potato chips and pretzels in the batter. I love sweet & salty together in a treat. Other mixes include Chocolate Chip Ginger Snap, Hot Chocolate Linzer Tart, and Vanilla Milk Shake. Most of my images show up on the goodies page. I picked a selection of my favorites to share with you. Hope it makes your mouth water and don’t forget to eat more cookies!
