The Wainwright House is a beautiful wedding venue and if you don’t already know it, one of my favorites. The location is close to Manhattan but feels like it’s worlds away.
For their summer wedding day, Kristen chose an incredible Oscar De La Renta gown with a fishtail train and had her bridesmaids choose their own unique dresses in shades of grey. Jeremy’s suit was Vera Wang
“Jeremy and I are not the type to “over theme” anything- he wanted a great band, Hank Lane Music and I wanted amazing flowers, Ariella Chezar. Given that we met in Manhattan and both love nature, we thought the Wainwright House would be the perfect venue to reflect our love for city culture as well as the outdoors. We wanted to focus around local and seasonal- everything from the vendors we used to the summer themed menu and floral varietals. The most important part of the day was for our guests to feel at home and to enjoy an evening together with a delicious summer themed menu, by Cornerstone Catering, and great music in a warm, inviting ambiance. Having our families all together made for the most perfect wedding day. We truly felt so blessed to have everyone together for our special day!”
It also rained that day. Not a big downpour but enough so that we couldn’t have the ceremony on the lawn by the water. I wanted you to see how lovely the site is even if the weather isn’t totally on your side. To fill out the list of credits the invitations were by Lion in the Sun, Markup Artist Meredith Hayman and hair by Melissa Scorfani. And my great thanks to Miana Jun, my second shooter.
